Once again we are returning to the beautiful surroundings of the Drumossie Hotel as our venue for an evening of lively Scottish Country Dancing at the Highland Ball on Saturday 28 March 2020.
From 6.00pm, dancers will be welcomed into the hotel to the sound of the pipes.
Pre-dinner drinks will give us all a chance to get together before the piper leads us into the dining room. Dinner will be served at 6.45pm, and dancing is scheduled to start at 8pm.
A great night of dancing is on offer, with music provided by the Frank Thomson Band. Frank is well known and respected throughout Scotland for his great music and camaraderie with the dancers on the floor.
Dancing will be preceded by a Grand March. An exciting Dance Programme has been compiled and the dances will be re-capped by Peggy Rose and Marie Macdonald.
During the event we will announce the winner of our Mystery Prize.
A Grand Raffle has been organised, and a proportion of the income will be donated to Spokes for Folks which is a local charity (previously Cycling without age Inverness (CWAI) which has now rebranded as Spokes for Folks. Over the last 18 months CWAI have taken over 2,000 passengers out on free rides, trained over 100 pilots and offer free rides from all central Inverness care homes, the Hospice and Raigmore as well as booked rides for passengers who wouldn’t otherwise be able to get out and experience the joy of cycling.
